India-spec Jeep Compass facelift to be unveiled on Jan 7

The Compass facelift could be launched around the end of January 2021.

The India-spec Jeep Compass facelift will be unveiled on January 7, 2021.

The updated Compass features subtle exterior changes like a slimmer grille, a new front bumper and LED headlamps. On the inside, the SUV gets a redesigned dashboard with a floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that gets Amazon Alexa support, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and can receive over-the-air updates. It also gets a new 3-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.

Jeep is likely to offer the same set of engines as before, which include the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm and the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 161 BHP and 250 Nm. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The petrol is offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel gets an optional 9-speed automatic.

Rumours suggest that the Compass facelift could be officially launched on January 23, 2021.
