Initial Impressions Of My Mahindra XEV 9E: 7 Likes and 5 Dislikes

The best thing I like about the car is the turning radius, it's unbelievable when you take U turns, it just turns so tight under full steering lock

What's good so far:

- The best thing I like about the car is the turning radius, it's unbelievable when you take U turns, it just turns so tight under full steering lock.
- The next best thing is the suspension and handling. Great balance between ride and handling.
- Looks amazing in real life, White seems to suit the car.
- Thanks to the default mode, it's all I need. Shortly tried the Race mode and it's scarily fast, I will hardly use it.
- In cabin noise insulation is well done. Sometimes I felt too disconnected from the outside!
- Rear seat is the best of most EVs, and we don't sit knees up.
- The horn is easy to access, can just do it with the palms instead of reaching out to the center of the steering.

What's not good:

- The software really needs more updates to make it better/stable. The screen saver on the passenger screen flickered after some time, and then I turned off the screen saver. Not sure if it's a one off thing.
- The screen also appeared to go blank once, but restarted and it was fine.
- There is a learning curve with the car controls. How we operate the drive selector, the power windows, ADAS, HUD, etc. Everything seems to be different and needs some getting used to.
- Understanding the infotainment UX needs a course in itself. Mahindra needs to simplify and make the UX better.
- The IRVM view. I still haven't removed the plastic covers on the seats and that further hindered the view.

What's decent:

- The range looks decent. Should be possible to do 450km+ comfortably.
