Interceptor 650 rivalling BSA Gold Star spotted in India

The BSA Gold Star 650 is expected to be launched later this year.

The upcoming BSA Gold Star 650 has been spotted testing in India once again. The bike is expected to be launched later this year and will take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

The Gold Star 650 is a retro-styled roadster. It features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a circular headlamp. It has a flat single-piece seat and raised handlebars.

The BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 45 BHP and 55 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In comparison, its main rival, the Interceptor 650 uses a twin-cylinder engine that makes 47 BHP and 53 Nm.

The bike has telescopic fork suspension at the front and conventional twin shock absorbers at the rear. The brake setup consists of disc brakes at both ends equipped with dual-channel ABS.
