Jaguar I-Pace EV to be launched in Q1 2021

Jaguar is gearing up to launch its first electric SUV in India next year.

According Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director - Jaguar Land Rover India, the carmaker plans to launch the I-Pace in India in the first quarter of 2021.

The Jaguar I-Pace is the brand's first all-electric crossover. It has already been listed on the Indian website. The car will be offered with one powertrain option (EV400) and three trim levels - S, SE and HSE.

Powering the I-Pace is a 90 kWh battery pack and two electric motors - one on each axle. The system produces 394 BHP and 696 Nm. The 0-100 km/h time is 4.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 200 km/h. The car has a range of 470 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

Jaguar Land Rover plans to launch plug-in hybrid models in India. The recently launched Defender will also be offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
