Jawa motorcycles sold out till September 2019

The Jawa and Jawa forty two were launched in November this year. Now, with the closure of online bookings on December 25, Classic Legends has stated that Jawa motorcycles have been sold out till September 2019. Deliveries will commence in March next year as per the booking sequence and customers will be informed about their delivery timelines. 

The company plans to ramp up production to reduce the waiting period for the bikes. It has also planned to open more than 100 dealerships across the country by February 15, 2019. 10 showrooms are already operational in the cities of Pune, Bangalore and Delhi.

The Jawa and Jawa forty two are powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 27 BHP and 28 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. At launch, the bikes were equipped with a 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 153 mm drum brake at the rear. Earlier this month, the company announced dual-channel ABS versions of the same. The ABS variants will get a disc brake at the rear.
