Jeep Compass facelift to be launched on January 27

The Compass gets a host of exterior and interior updates but will retain the same engines as before.

Jeep unveiled the India-spec Compass facelift earlier this month. Now, the carmaker is gearing up to announce its prices on January 27, 2021.

The updated Compass gets a slimmer 7-slat grille, LED headlights, a revised front bumper with new fog lamp housings and new 18-inch alloy wheels.

Jeep has also updated the interior of the SUV. The Compass now gets dual-tone upholstery, a new 3-spoke steering wheel and redesigned AC vents.

The SUV is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a 10.1-inch UConnect infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8-way adjustable electric seats, powered tailgate, wireless charging and a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It also gets connected car features and a remote app.

The updated Compass retains the same set of engines as before. These include the 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel and the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The petrol is offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel comes with an optional 9-speed automatic.
