Jeep Compass Limited (O) 4x4: Service update at 1.63L km + a long drive

Post service, I could feel the performance difference. I don’t have anything to complain for now. Overall, they did a very good job.

Scheduled Service (ODO @ 1,63,490 Kms) + Timing Belt Kit replacement – PPS/MPS Motors, Electronic City:

Its been 11K Kms since the previous service was done. As mentioned earlier, I decided to get the service done every 10-11K Kms now.

Complaints:

I have not faced any new issues during the last 10K Kms. However, the rattling issue from the IRVM console which was fixed during the last service has returned again.

Work Done in this Service:

Air filter, AC filter, Oil filter, Fuel filter replaced.
Engine oil replaced and other fluids top-up were done.
Brake bleeding / cleaning
Complete checkup
Rattling issue fixed.
Timing belt kit replacement

Observation from the technician during the Service

Front brake pad has another 5K Km life. Its 62K Kms since it was replaced last.
Rear brake pads are still good.
Suspension/shock absorber setup looks fine. No leakage nor any abnormal sounds so far.
Battery and alternator all are good.
Tyres are good.
They observed some moisture in fuel pump. I need to keep an eye on this for any further issues.

Feedback on the Service:

They did a good job. Due to my work schedule, I couldn’t be with the car during the service, so I instructed them and left the car with them. They updated me with the status during the service and I took the delivery once the service was done by evening. Post service, I could feel the performance difference. I don’t have anything to complain for now. Overall, they did a very good job.

Here are some updates before the service

A drive to Mysore and back when I had to follow the speed limits at 100Kmph. The FE went up till 22 Kmpl and came down after a short drive in Mysore city traffic. Despite that by the end of the trip, the FE was 20 Kmpl.
