Jeep Grand Cherokee removed from Indian website

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is no longer listed on the brand's Indian website. The SUV was first launched in India back in 2016. It was imported as completely built unit (CBU).

The Grand Cherokee was offered in 3 trims - Limited, Summit, and the SRT. The former two were powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine rated at 240 BHP and 570 Nm while the SRT was equipped with a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 petrol engine churning out 470 BHP and 624 Nm. In 2017, the Summit trim was offered with a 3.6-litre, Pentastar V6 petrol engine rated at 286 BHP and 347 Nm.

Jeep's current line-up includes the Compass, Compass Trailhawk and the new Wrangler. The next-generation Grand Cherokee is expected to debut in 2021 with petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrain options.
