Jeep has unveiled a special edition iteration of its Wrangle 4Xe, in the form of the Willys 41 concept. The new Jeep Wrangler 4Xe Willys 41 is inspired by the brand's 1941 Willys Jeep/MB.
The special edition Wrangler features the period-correct military OlivedDrab paint scheme. The SUV gets 17-inch aluminium wheels wrapped in all-terrain tyres, designed to replicate the steelies on the original Willys. The rims are also finished in body colour, similar to that on the original. Other details include a unique bonnet graphic replicating the stencilled numbering finished in light blue and '41' bonnet decals. The SUV also gets metal bumpers for added protection off-road. The Willys 41 edition of the Jeep Wrangler 4Xe gets three roof choices, including a body-colour hard top, a power-folding Sky Top and a tan-coloured soft top.
Inside, the Willys 41 edition gets tan cloth seat fabrics, olive fabric inserts and '41' badges on the gear selectors, apart from all the modern equipment and features on the standard Wrangler 4Xe.
Mechanically, the special edition Wrangler remains unchanged. The Willys 41 edition carries forward the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system. The hybrid powertrain puts out a total of 375 BHP and 637 Nm and also offers a 50 km EV-only range.
