Jehan Daruvala inducted into British Racing Drivers' Club

Indian Formula Renault driver, Jehan Daruvala, has been inducted into the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC). The 17-year old racer from Dadar, Mumbai will be a part of BRDC's Rising Stars programme.

The British Racing Drivers' Club only selects drivers from Great Britain and the Commonwealth countries to be a part of the legacy. The club has had only 850 members till date, which gives an idea about its exclusivity.

Jehan's entry into the BRDC is being seen as a major milestone in his career. The club has been fostering new talent from the last several years, and has names like Lewis Hamilton and Alex Lloyd as their biggest success stories. BRDC is also responsible for maintaining and operating the Silverstone circuit, which is currently the only circuit in Britain that is licensed to host a Grand Prix.

Daruvala is currently a part of Josef Kaufmann Racing, and competes in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC and Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 series.
