Kawasaki has launched the new Versys 1100 sports tourer in India at Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 looks identical to the Versys 1000, which it replaces. The bike has a semi-faired design with dual LED headlamps and a windscreen. It has features like a digital instrument console, cornering lights and a USB Type-C charging port.
The Versys 1100 is powered by a bigger, more powerful engine. The engine displacement has increased from 1,043cc to 1,099cc, courtesy of a 3 mm longer stroke. As a result, power output has gone up from 118 BHP to 133 BHP @ 9,000 rpm, while peak torque is rated at 112 Nm @ 7,600 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Versys 1100 is equipped with an adjustable 43 mm upside-down fork at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by dual 310 mm discs at the front and a single 260 mm disc at the rear.
