Kawasaki Z900 BS6 launched at Rs. 7.99 lakh

The Z900 now comes with a revised engine and added features.

The Kawasaki Z900 is now available with a BS6-compliant engine. The naked street bike is priced at Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Z900 is powered by an updated 948cc, 4-cylinder engine that develops 123 BHP @ 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm @ 7,700 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.

Kawasaki claims to have tweaked the suspension setting for better handling. The bike features upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking setup consists of twin 300 mm petal type discs at the front and a 250 mm petal type disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The bike now rides on Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres.

The 2021 Kawasaki Z900 comes with four riding modes - Sport, Rain, Road and Manual. It also gets two power modes and traction control with three settings. It comes with a 4.2-inch colour TFT instrument cluster that has Kawasaki Rideology App support and Bluetooth connectivity. Another minor update is the addition of an LED headlight, LED indicators and tail light.

The Kawasaki Z900 is available in two colour options - Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Lime Green.
