According to the company, over 44,000 units of the Carens have been affected by this recall. This means owners of all the cars sold in India to date will have to get their vehicles inspected at their nearest authorized service centre.

It is said that the airbag control module issue can be resolved through a software update, which will be provided free of cost.

Kia will be reaching out to customers to get their vehicles inspected. Additionally, customers can also visit the brand's official website or use the Kia app to check if their vehicles are among those recalled.
