Kia India sales cross the 5 lakh mark in under 3 years

The Kia Seltos and Sonet have a market share of 40% and 15% respectively.

Kia India has achieved a new milestone as cumulative sales crossed the 5 lakh unit mark in less than 3 years.

The company’s cumulative dispatches from its Anantapur manufacturing facility stood at 6,34,224 units. This includes cars built for export markets as well. Kia India now contributes more than 6% to the global sales of Kia Corporation.

The Seltos remains the highest selling model of the brand in India, making up 59% of the total sales, followed by the Sonet with more than 32%. The Carens has contributed close to 6.5% to the domestic sales after just 5 months of its launch.

According to Kia, the Seltos has a market share of 40% in its segment, while the Sonet controls 15% of the compact SUV segment. The Carens is averaging around 4,000 units per month. The carmaker has sold 30,593 units since its launch and is said to be the second most selling model in its category.
