Kia Sonet spied completely undisguised

A test mule of the Kia Sonet has been spotted completely undisguised just a day following its world premier.

Kia's first sub-4 meter SUV in India is based on the same platform as the Hyundai Venue. It will be launched this festive season.

The Sonet will be offered in Tech Line and GT Line trims. The car seen in these images appears to be the GT Line trim that is characterized by red exterior accents. It also features a typical tiger nose grille and comes with LED headlights and LED tail lights with an LED light bar. The car has a dual-tone exterior and rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Sonet gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and 57 UVO Connect features. It has a digital instrument cluster, sunroof, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, ventilated front seats, 7-speaker Bose audio system among other features.

The Kia Sonet will be available with three engine options. These include a 1.0-litre, turbo petrol, 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre diesel comes with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The car also gets a 5-speed manual and 6-speed iMT clutchless gearbox.
