Kia is gearing up to debut a new compact SUV in India. The carmaker has now confirmed that it will be called ‘Syros’ – pronounced as ‘See-ross.’
The Kia Syros is expected to be positioned above the Sonet in the brand’s SUV line-up. The latest teasers suggest that the car’s design is inspired by the Kia EV9. It has an upright front fascia with vertical LED DRLs and L-shaped LED taillights at the back. Other exterior details include flush-fitting door handles, blacked-out C-pillars, and roof rails.
Inside, the Kia Syros is likely to feature a dual-tone interior with a 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and dual screens. The car could get features like ADAS, front parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera.
Technical details about the Syros are still unclear. We can expect Kia to reveal more information regarding the powertrain options closer to launch.
