The Kia Syros will make its global debut on December 19. As per the latest reports, the car will get two engine options in India.
Reports suggest that the Kia Syros will be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 BHP and 172 Nm. It will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT.
The Syros will also get a diesel engine option. It’s the familiar 1.5-litre oil burner that powers the Sonet, Venue, Creta and Carens. This unit produces 113 BHP and 250 Nm and will be mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Teaser images suggest that it will have a boxy design with vertically stacked LED headlamps and LED DRLs, L-shaped LED taillights, flush-fitting door handles, blacked-out C-pillars and roof rails.
The Kia Syros is expected to get a dual-tone interior with a 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and dual screens. The car could get features like ADAS, front parking sensors, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera.
In terms of pricing, the Kia Syros is expected to be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos. It could be launched at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January.
