KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo revealed globally

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo comes with WP's latest generation of semi-active, electronically adjustable suspension setup.

KTM has revealed the 1290 Super Duke R Evo for the international markets. The highlight of the new naked motorcycle is the semi-active suspension.

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo comes with WP's latest generation of semi-active, electronically adjustable suspension setup. It offers 3 standard damping modes - Comfort, Street and Sport. It also allows adjusting the preload of the rear mono-shock by 20 mm. All the tinkering can be done electronically via the TFT instrument cluster.

KTM is also providing an optional Suspension Pro package with the 1290 Super Duke R Evo. It adds 3 more damping modes - Track, Advanced and Auto. The optional package also consists of a switchable anti-dive feature that, as the name suggests, should prevent the front end of the motorcycle from diving under hard braking.

Powering the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo is a 1,301cc V-twin engine that makes 177 BHP and 140 Nm. The motorcycle is equipped with a new, shorter-travel throttle that has a twist of 65 degrees.
