KTM 890 Adventure R launched at Rs 15.80 lakh

The 890 Adventure R will compete with models like the BMW F 900 GS and Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE.

KTM has launched the 890 Adventure R in the Indian market. The ADV is priced at Rs 15.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

The KTM 890 Adventure R is an adventure bike that will compete with models like the BMW F 900 GS and Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE. It has KTM’s signature LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs and a tall windscreen.

Powering the 890 Adventure R is an 889cc, liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that produces 103.2 BHP and 100 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. It also comes with a quickshifter.

The 890 Adventure R is equipped with an adjustable 43 mm WP Apex USD fork at the front and a WP Apex monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on wirespoke wheels and is equipped with dual discs at the front and a single disc brake at the rear.

The 890 Adventure R comes with a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth, offering features like turn-by-turn navigation. The bike also gets electronic rider aids like cornering ABS with off-road settings, traction control, cruise control and riding modes.
