KTM recalls Duke 390 to fix faulty front sprocket

Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has issued a recall for the Duke 390 to fix a faulty front sprocket.

According to KTM, Duke 390 bikes manufactured before March 2014 could have a problem with the locking plate of the front sprocket that could lead to the sprocket becoming misaligned and cause the chain to come off the teeth. The company will inspect the recalled bikes and replace the sprocket if necessary, free of cost. The entire process is likely to take approximately 30 minutes.

KTM claims that till date there are no reported incidents in connection with the problem. Bikes manufactured after March 2014 are not affected by the issue as the manufacturer has fitted them with redesigned sprockets and addressed the issue.
