Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae: the last of the V12 supercar

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae will be limited to 600 units, including 350 coupes and 250 roadsters.

Lamborghini has unveiled the final production version of the Aventador, in the form of the LP 780-4 Ultimae.

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae will be limited to 600 units, including 350 coupes and 250 roadsters. Being the final expression of the flagship supercar, the LP780-4 borrows design cues from the Aventador S, while offering the performance of the SVJ.

The Aventador Ultimae also marks the end of the brand's naturally-aspirated V12 combustion engine. The Ultimae will be the last Lamborghini to feature the 6.5-litre NA V12 and is said to offer 770 BHP (10 BHP more than the SVJ) and 720 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission, sending power to all-four wheels.

This allows the Aventador Ultimae to accelerate from 0 - 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 355 km/h. The coupe version of the LP780-4 tips the scale at 1,550 kg (25 kg less than the 'S'), and has a power-to-weight ratio identical to the SVJ.

In terms of design, the Ultimae comes with a new front bumper similar to the Aventador S. However, it comes with an active splitter and intake flaps, offering SVJ-levels of aerodynamic efficiency. The Ultimae also features an active rear wing at the back with three positions - max performance, max handling and closed.

Inside, the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae comes with a number of exclusive elements and features. This includes the optional laser-cut 'Y' pattern with a contrast backing colour on the seats and dashboard. The seats themselves are carried forward from the Aventador S, but feature 'Ultimae' embroidered on the bolsters.

The Ultimae also features a TFT infotainment system with in-car connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Lamborghini's telemetry system; among various other equipments.
