Lamborghini Revuelto name trademarked for future EV

The name 'Revuelto' in Spanish roughly translates to unruly, scrambled, wild or turbulent.

Lamborghini is reported to have filed a trademark for the name 'Revuelto' with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

According to media reports, the trademark has been filed under Classes 9, 12, 25 & 28. While Classes 25 and 28 are related to clothing & merchandise, Class 9 and 12 are what's more interesting. As per EUIPO, Class 9 refers to "electric batteries for powering electric vehicles", while Class 12 includes everything from electric cars to one-wheeled electric scooters.

This indicates that Lamborghini could be planning to call its first EV, the Revuelto. However, there are no official details of the same. Reports also suggest that the name 'Revuelto' in Spanish roughly translates to unruly, scrambled, wild or turbulent. Also, if 'Revuelto' does make it onto a production vehicle, it will be the third Lamborghini model not to be named after a bull, after the Countach and the Sesto Elemento.

Lamborghini has previously announced that it will hybridize its entire line-up by 2024. The Italian supercar brand also confirmed that it is working on a fully-electric vehicle, which is expected to debut before the end of the decade.
