Lamborghini Urus sets new speed record on ice

The car achieved a top speed of 298 km/h and averaged 114 km/h over multiple runs.

The Lamborghini Urus has set a new 1,000 meter speed record on ice. The car achieved a top speed of 298 km/h and averaged 114 km/h over multiple runs.

The record was set on the frozen Lake Baikal in Russia as part of the Days of Speed event that was held from March 10-13, 2021. At the wheel of the Urus was 18-time Days of Speed record holder Andrey Leontyev.

The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 641 BHP and 850 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Urus is the best-selling Lamborghini model in India. It accounts for over 50% of the brand's total sales.
