Land Rover Defender 110 scores 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating

The SUV scored 85% for adult and child occupant protection.

The Land Rover Defender 110 has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP. The test car was a right hand drive 2.0L diesel SE variant.

The Defender 110 scored 85% for adult and child occupant protection. It scored 79% for Safety Assist and 71% for Vulnerable Road Users.

The new Defender range features an ultra-stiff aluminium-intensive body construction. The SUV is equipped with advanced safety features such as Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Rear Collision Monitor. It comes with 6 airbags and up to three ISOFIX mounting points.

Some of the other notable safety features offered in the Defender include 3D surround camera, Clear Exit Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control, Driver Condition Monitor, Rear Traffic Monitor, Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Speed limiter as well as Wade Sensing.

The Land Rover Defender was launched in India earlier this year. The carmaker offers both the 3-door Defender 90 and 5-door Defender 110 in India.
