Land Rover Defender 130 to be unveiled on May 31

The new Defender 130 is expected to carry forward the same powertrain options as the rest of the model range.

Land Rover has teased the upcoming Defender 130 ahead of its global unveil on May 31, 2022.

As the name suggests, the Defender 130 will be positioned above the Defender 90 and 110 in the model lineup. The SUV will be capable of carrying up to 8 passengers in three rows of seats arranged in a 2+3+3 configuration.

While details of the upcoming Land Rover Defender 130 are scarce, the 4x4 luxury SUV is expected to share body panels & other components with the rest of the models in the range. However, the Defender 130 will get a slightly extended wheelbase and a larger rear overhang. This should help increase legroom in the second and third row while also offering sufficient boot space.

The new Defender 130 is expected to carry forward the same powertrain options as the rest of the model range. This includes the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 unit producing 516 BHP and 846 Nm.
