Leaked: FULL brochure of EcoSport Facelift

The Ford EcoSport facelift will be soon launched in India and we'd recently reported that the new EcoSport will be offered in 5 variants – Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+. Now, a leaked brochure has revealed more details about the upcoming compact SUV.

The new EcoSport gets updated styling elements on the exteriors as well as interiors. It measures 3,998 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,647 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,519 mm. The EcoSport has a luggage capacity of 352 litres (1,178 litres with the rear seats folded) and a 52-litre fuel tank.

The front grille is offered in gloss black, silver and chrome on the base Ambiente, Trend and Titanium variants respectively. All variants get halogen quadbeam reflector headlights except for the Titanium variants which get projector lights with LED DRLs. Ford is offering 15-inch steel wheels on Ambiente and Trend variants, while Trend+ and Titanium versions ride on 16-inch steel rims and 16-inch alloys respectively. Only the top-spec Titanium+ variant gets 17-inch alloys. 

Moving to the interiors, only the Titanium+ variant gets leather upholstery, while 60/40 split rear seat is available on the top 2 Titanium variants. The 8.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment screen is available only on the Titanium trims. The lower Trend trims get a 6.5-inch touchscreen instead. The base model misses out on the touchscreen unit, SYNC 3 with voice control and steering mounted controls. 

Features like rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps and rear-view camera are only available on the Titanium+ trim, while engine start/stop button and Smart Entry is offered on both Titanium variants. Ford is also offering the MyKey feature on the Titanium variants which allows the owners to set speed warnings, activate seat belt reminder, limit the car's top speed and the audio volume. All variants get automatic climate control except for the base variant. Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+ variants get power folding ORVMs and height adjustable driver’s seat. 

As far as safety features are concerned, ABS with EBD and driver and passenger side airbags are standard across the range. Rear parking sensors and high-speed warning is available on Titanium and Titanium+ versions, while EBA (Emergency Brake Assist), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), traction control, hill launch assist, ISOFIX child safety seat mounting points, cruise control with speed limiter and side and curtain airbags are only offered the Titanium+ variant.

Ford has already announced that the EcoSport facelift will get a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine. This engine produces 121 BHP @ 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque @ 4,500 rpm. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The automatic option is available on Trend+ and Titanium+ trims. 

Ford is carrying forward the diesel engine from the outgoing EcoSport. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine makes 99 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 205 Nm of torque @ 1,750-3,250 rpm. The diesel engine comes paired solely with a 5-speed manual transmission. The new EcoSport rides on independent McPherson strut type front suspension and semi-independent type in the rear. Brakes come in the form of ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The ARAI fuel efficiency of the Petrol engine is rated at 17 km/l while that of the Diesel engine is 23 km/l.

According to the brochure, the EcoSport facelift will be offered in 7 colour options – Lightning Blue, Canyon Ridge, Race Red, Diamond White, Absolute Black, Moondust Silver and Smoke Grey. Some of the accessories on offer include illuminated scuff plates, spare wheel cover, rear spoiler, rear seat entertainment system among others.
