Left-hand drive Volkswagen Taigun spied testing

View Forum Discussion

In left-hand drive markets the Taigun could be called T-Cross.

A left-hand drive version of the Volkswagen Taigun has been spotted testing in India.

The video features two variants of the Taigun. The higher-spec car gets dual LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, fog lamps, chrome grille and chrome inserts on the bumper and diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The lower variant misses out on some of these features. The car gets halogen headlamps with LED daytime running lights placed below the headlamps and silver alloy wheels instead of diamond-cut units.

On the interior, the Taigun will be offered with the new Play infotainment system. It consists of a 10.1-inch touchscreen head-unit with a resolution of 1540x720 pixels and offers split-screen and rear-view camera functions. It is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The crossover will be available with two engine options - a 1.0-litre, 113 BHP TSI petrol engine paired to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.5-litre 148 BHP TSI petrol engine paired to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
