Lexus to offer yoke steering on its upcoming EV

The yoke steering gained popularity when it debuted on the Tesla Model S Plaid.

Lexus has released a teaser of its first dedicated battery electric vehicle. The all-new EV called Lexus RZ will be globally unveiled on April 20, 2022.

Lexus has released two teaser images of its RZ EV. The first one showcases a portion of the front fascia. However, the highlight is the second image. The second teaser released by Lexus reveals the interiors of the RZ EV with a 'yoke steering'.

While the yoke steering can be seen in the teaser image, it is yet to be confirmed whether or not Lexus will offer it as standard or as an optional feature. The yoke steering gained popularity when it debuted on the Tesla Model S Plaid.

Toyota is also expected to offer the yoke steering on its upcoming bZ4X EV, scheduled to be unveiled later this year. However, the yoke steering on the Toyota bZ4X will be an optional feature, with the conventional steering being offered as standard.
