Locally-assembled Mercedes EQS 580 priced at Rs. 1.55 crore

The EQS 580 costs Rs. 90 lakh less than the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 S.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQS 580 in India. The all-electric sedan is the brand’s first locally assembled EV. It is priced at Rs 1.55 crore (ex-showroom).

The EQS 580 gets a slightly different front fascia compared to the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 S, which was launched earlier this year. Inside, the EQS 580 comes with three large screens integrated into the dashboard fascia. Mercedes calls this the ‘Hyperscreen’ and it includes a screen each for the digital instrument cluster, the infotainment system and a third display on the passenger side. The car also gets features like a head-up display, Burmester audio system, air filtration system, 3D maps and massage function for the front seats.

The EQS 580 uses two electric motors – one on each axle. They have a combined output of 516 BHP and 855 Nm and are powered by a 107.8 kWh battery pack. Mercedes claims that a 0-100 km/h time of 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h and a maximum range of 857 km.
