Lotus has launched its 2-door sports car, the Emira, in India. It is priced at Rs 3.22 crore (ex-showroom).
The design of Lotus’ 2-door sports car is heavily inspired by its flagship electric supercar, the Evija. It has vertical LED headlamps and large vents on either side. The rear features C-shaped LEDs and dual exhausts.
Inside, the Emira gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 3-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features include a 10-speaker KEF sound system, 12-way adjustable sports seats, cruise control and ADAS.
The Lotus Emira is available with two engine options. This includes a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine sourced from AMG. It comes in two states of tune: 360 BHP / 430 Nm and 400 BHP / 480 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The second engine option is a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 sourced from Toyota. This unit puts out 400 BHP and 420 Nm and comes with either a 6-speed manual or an automatic.
Lotus claims the Emira can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds (Turbo SE variant) and has a top speed of 290 km/h.
