Magenta Power launches ChargeGrid portable EV chargers

Magenta Power has launched a portable and compact electric vehicle (EV) charger range called ChargeGrid.

The ChargeGrid series is available in four variants including LITE, which costs Rs. 11,799, PRO-3P and PRO-T2 priced at Rs. 32,499 and Rs. 39,499 respectively and ULTRA, which costs Rs. 48,699.

According to the company, ChargeGrid is a fully integrated, unmanned, payment enabled charging solution for EVs. The chargers are connected through a mobile app, which provides location of charging stations. Users can also book charging slots and pay online, get updates on charging and recommendations on time-of-day use.

The chargers are weatherproof and have an LCD screen and LED indicators. The IEC socket is standard and the second socket can be a 16A domestic socket or a Type-2 connector. The Type-2 connector is suitable for EVs currently sold in India. However, the company claims that these can be modified to adapt to EVs that are yet to be launched.

The ChargeGrid PRO series is said to be ideal for offices, malls and residential societies.

ChargeGrid chargers are available through Lynx, select auto dealers and on Amazon.
