Maharashtra extends early bird benefits on EVs till March 31

Early bird benefits are available on select variants of the Nexon EV and all variants of the Tigor EV.

The government of Maharashtra has extended its early bird benefits scheme for EVs till March 31, 2022.

The incentive scheme is valid only for the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. As per the policy, the government offers a basic incentive of Rs. 5,000 per kWh of the battery capacity, with a maximum incentive of Rs. 1.50 lakh. Nexon EV buyers can avail an additional early bird benefit of Rs. 1 lakh.

The government incentives are available on select variants of the Nexon EV. However, all variants of the Tigor EV qualify for the subsidy and early bird benefits. The state offers a maximum incentive of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 30,000 on electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers respectively.

The early bird benefits scheme was set to end on December 31, 2021.
