Mahindra 110 cc scooter spied undisguised

Mahindra Two Wheelers has been testing a 110 cc scooter, codenamed G101. It has been spotted in testing guise on a few occasions over the past months. The scooter has been spotted one more time and this time without any camouflage.

Going by the picture of the scooter put up by Motorbeam, the G101 appears to have a simple, unisex design with its turn indicators located on the front apron. The bike is expected to be powered by a 106.7 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that puts out 8.5 PS @ 7500 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. This is the same engine that does duty in the Centuro motorcycle, which is the company’s most successful product. The G101 is expected to get a CVT automatic transmission.

Mahindra's current range of scooters consists of the Rodeo RZ, Duro RZ and Flyte which come with a  125 cc engine and the Kine which has a 71.5 cc unit. With the G101, Mahindra will enter into the highly lucrative 110 cc segment. The G101 will take on scooters such as the Honda Active, Suzuki Jupiter, TVS Wego, Suzuki Let's and Hero Maestro.
