Mahindra Adventure - 2017 season details announced

Mahindra has announced the official calendar for the Mahindra Adventure 2017 season. For this year, the organisers have introduced two new multi-day drive expeditions.

Mahindra will continue to organise the Great Escape off-roading event in 10 locations across the country. This event will provide participants the opportunity to drive the company's 4x4 vehicles on diverse terrains. Each location's winner will be given a chance to compete for the Mahindra Off-Roading Trophy and win a new Mahindra Thar CRDe 4x4.

For the Multi-Day escapes, Mahindra has introduced two new locations for this year's season - Myanmar Thailand drive and one lap of the golden quadrilateral. Following are the multi-day escapes for the 2017 season.

1. Authentic Myanmar Thailand Drive
- 12 day drive from Guwahati, India to Bangkok, Thailand via Myanmar and back
- Leg 1: Guwahati, Kohima, Imphal, Kale, Mandalay, Yangoon, Bangkok
Dates: November 24 - December 6, 2017;
- Leg 2: Bangkok, Yangoon, Mandalay, Kale, Imphal, Kohima, Guwahat
Dates: December 9 - December 22, 2017

2. One Lap of India
- 18-day drive around the golden quadrilateral of India, via Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Vizag, Pondicherry, Bangalore, Goa, Chhota Rann, Bikaner, Udaipur and ending in Delhi
Dates: July 22 - August 8, 2017

3. Monastery Escape
- 10 day drive each, divided into two legs.
- Leg 1: Delhi, Manali, Jispa, Tso Moriri, Leh, Nubra
Dates: Leg 1 - June 17 - 27, 2017
- Leg 2: Leh, Pangong Tso, Jispa, Kaza, Sangla, Shimla, Chandigarh
Dates: July 1 - 10, 2017

4. Authentic North East
- 10 day drive through Guwahati, Dirang, Tawang, Kaziranga and Shillong
Dates: October 28 - November 7, 2017

5. Spiti Escape
- 7 day drive through Chandigarh, Narkanda, Nako, Kaza and Manali
Dates: September 9 - 18, 2017

6. Royal Escape
- 6 day drive across Rajasthan through Alsisar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jaipur
Dates: February 11 - 18, 2017

7. Authentic Bhutan
- 8 day drive through Bhutan covering Chalsa, Paro, Thimpu and Punakha
Dates: December 26, 2017 - January 1, 2018

The 2017 Adventure season will also have two Mahindra Challenges:
1. Club Challenge - off-road competition for the top-10 off-roading clubs in the country. This year, it will be held in Kerala.
2. Monsoon Challenge - a 3-say Time Speed Distance (TSD) rally
