Mahindra Genio facelift spotted on test

The refreshed Mahindra Genio pickup truck has been spotted once again - this time, testing on public roads.

The facelifted Genio features a redesigned grille with silver accents, new headlamps, a tweaked bonnet and a restyled front bumper with a wide air dam. The sides and rear of the truck appear to be unchanged. The tail lamps and loading bay are carried over from the outgoing model.

Like the current model, the refreshed Genio is expected to come in single cab and double cab variants. Mahindra could use materials of better quality in the vehicle.

The Genio facelift is expected to carry over the current model's 2.5-litre, diesel engine that develops 75 BHP and 220 Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual gearbox is likely to be carried over as well.

The Genio facelift is expected to be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo.
