The Mahindra Group and Reliance BP Mobility Limited (RBML) have signed a non-binding MoU to develop EV products and services, as well as low-carbon solutions.
The two companies will be evaluating charging solutions for Mahindra's electric 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers, quadricycles and small commercial vehicles. Jio-bp Mobility Stations provide services like Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Battery as a Service (BaaS), which could benefit EVs manufactured by Mahindra.
Mahindra Group and its channel partner locations will be evaluated for setting up Jio-bp Mobility Stations and EV charging and battery swapping points.
The companies expect to accelerate EV adoption in India by providing high-performance and swappable batteries that will help reduce range anxiety.
