Mahindra S101 interior spied again

The interiors of the upcoming Mahindra S101 compact SUV have been snapped again.

The image shows the S101 with a three-spoke steering wheel and a modern-looking black dashboard with silver accents. The centre console has a couple of rectangular air-conditioner vents at the top, a multimedia system with a screen and multiple buttons below it, and modern controls for the air-conditioning placed in a vertical sequence at the bottom. Also seen, is a dash-mounted gear lever. Earlier images of the car show a bench seat at the front, which could give it a 3+3 seating configuration.

To power the S101, Mahindra is expected to use a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which it is developing in collaboration with its Korean subsidiary, SsangYong. A 1.5-litre diesel engine is also likely to be on offer. Reports suggest that the vehicle will get a manual gearbox as well as an automated manual trasnmission.

The S101 will be pitted against other sub-4 metre SUVs such as the Ford EcoSport and Fiat Avventura.
