According to a media report, Mahindra is planning to shutdown its GenZe electric scooter and bicycle manufacturing unit in the USA.

Reports suggest that Mahindra is in the process of liquidating its shares and plans to disband within 6 months. The brand's intellectual property is likely to be integrated into other Mahindra products and subsidiaries.

GenZe has a manufacturing unit in Detroit. The factory used to produce electric bicycles and electric scooters for the US market.

The company offered two electric bicycle modes - 100 Series and 200 Series. There were two variations of its electric scooter - 2.0e and 2.0f. The latter came with a lockable storage compartment. The GenZe 2.0 has a claimed top speed of 51 km/h.
