Mahindra TUV300 Plus SUVs delivered to select customers

Anand Mahindra - the Chairman of the Mahindra Group has confirmed that a few TUV300 Plus SUVs are being delivered to select customers ahead of the vehicle's official launch.

In a recent tweet, Mr. Mahindra said that the company was seeding a few vehicles in the market before the launch next year. He was responding after images of a customer taking delivery of a TUV300 Plus surfaced online.

The TUV300 Plus is a longer version of the sub-4 meter TUV300. A recently published ARAI document reveals that the overall length of the Plus is 403 mm longer than that of the regular TUV300. However, both have a similar wheelbase, which measures 2,680 mm. The document also reveals that the Plus is 205 kg heavier than standard TUV300.

While the regular TUV300 comes with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine, the TUV300 Plus is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder mHawk120 diesel engine that produces 118 BHP. It is expected to be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The P4 variant comes with black bumpers, door handles and ORVMs. It also gets steel wheels instead of alloys. On the inside, it has side-facing third row of seats and a total seating capacity of 9.
