Mahindra XUV 300 Sportz spied ahead of launch

Once launched, the new Mahindra XUV 300 Sportz could rival the Hyundai Venue N Line.

Mahindra is gearing up to launch a more powerful version of the XUV 300. The SUV will likely be called the XUV 300 T-GDi (Sportz) and will be powered by a turbocharged petrol engine. The new Mahindra XUV300 Sportz is scheduled to be launched on the 7th October.

Spotted at the plant, the new variant gets gloss black elements, a new exterior shade and the ‘twin peaks’ Mahindra logo. It gets gloss black grille, ORVMs and roof, along with red highlights on the air dam and possibly a new yellow shade.

Inside, it is likely to retain the same features as per the existing top variants. These include automatic headlamps, dual-zone climate control, sunroof, cruise control, a 7-inch infotainment system, rain-sensing wipers and six airbags.

The XUV 300 Sportz will be powered by a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine rated at 128 BHP / 230 Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox is likely to be offered as standard. Once launched, the new Mahindra XUV 300 Sportz could rival the Hyundai Venue N Line.
