Mahindra XUV300 EV to be launched by Q4 FY2022-23

The eXUV300 will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV and Maruti's upcoming YY8 electric SUV.

Mahindra has announced that it plans to launch the all-electric version of the XUV300 in the next fiscal.

The eXUV300 was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Since then, we haven't heard much about the electric SUV. The carmaker has now revealed that the car will go on sale in the third or fourth quarter of FY2022-23.

The eXUV300 concept was said to be powered by a 130 BHP electric motor and a 40 kWh battery pack with a maximum range of 300 km.

Mahindra plans to invest Rs. 3,000 crore in its EV business. It plans to introduce 16 EVs in the Indian market in the next 7 years. These include 8 electric SUVs and 8 electric light commercial vehicles.

The eXUV300 will compete with the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV and Maruti's upcoming YY8 electric SUV.
