Mahindra XUV300 to get turbo-petrol engine in all trims

The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is likely to be offered in W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) trims.

According to a type approval document, Mahindra is likely to offer the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine in all four variants of the XUV300.

The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine was first unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo in the XUV300 Sportz. Now, it seems the engine will be available in W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) trims.

The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder mStallion direct injection turbo-petrol unit produces 128 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 230 Nm @ 1,500-3,750 rpm. The engine could be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Mahindra might continue to offer the 108 BHP 1.2-liter petrol engine on select variants of the XUV300 at a lower price point.
