Mahindra XUV400 records over 10,000 bookings

The introductory pricing is applicable on first 5,000 bookings of each of the two variants.

On January 26, Mahindra opened the order books for the XUV400. The carmaker now claims to have received over 10,000 bookings during the extended Republic Day weekend, which translates to an approximate 7-month delivery period.

The Mahindra XUV400 was unveiled in September last year. The electric SUV is available in three variants, with prices starting from Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

On the outside, the XUV400 looks similar to its ICE version, the XUV300. It shares the same bodyshell but gets a few cosmetic tweaks like the copper accents on the bumper, door sills and grille, along with a copper twin peaks logo.

The interior has a familiar layout as well. The electric SUV comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, electric ORVMs, automatic headlamps and wipers and an electric sunroof.

The XUV400 uses an electric motor that produces 148 BHP and 310 Nm. It comes with three drive modes tuned for steering, throttle response and regeneration. There are two battery options to choose from, offering 375-456 km of range (MIDC).
