Mahindra XUV500 Diesel AT priced from Rs. 15.65 lakh

A short while ago we reported that Mahindra had silently introduced the diesel AT variants of the XUV500. Prices of the new variants are now out.

The XUV500 automatic is available in three variants - W7, W9 and W11 (O).

XUV500 diesel AT variant prices:

• W7 - Rs. 15.65 lakh
• W9 - Rs. 17.36 lakh
• W11 (O) - Rs. 18.88 lakh

The XUV500 is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 153 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 360 Nm @ 1,750-2,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which has a manual mode and creep function. It does not get an all-wheel drive option.

The XUV500 BS6 is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission. It comes in four variants - W5, W7, W9 and W11 (O) with prices starting at Rs. 13.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The XUV500 competes with the Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the Indian market.
