Mahindra XUV500 facelift revealed in spy shots

Utility vehicle major Mahindra, is gearing up to introduce a facelifted version of the XUV500 crossover in India. Spy images of the vehicle have surfaced on the internet.

The images indicate that the XUV500 will get some cosmetic changes to its exterior. Most of these changes are to the front end of the car. There is a revised pair of headlamps which look like they are divided into two parts by "L" shaped chrome inserts. The chrome grille is new and so is the front bumper. The fog lamps appear to have been relocated to just under the headlamps. Their housings get chrome linings and the bumper also gets a new brushed aluminium skid plate.

Viewed from the side, the refreshed XUV500 looks identical to the current model except for the new 10-spoke alloy wheels. The rear of the car has been left untouched. The only change we can spot is the larger licence plate garnish.

More information on the facelifted XUV500 is awaited. Mahindra is expected to launch the car in May 2015.
