Mahindra XUV500 facelift spied with new front grille

Mahindra has been working on an updated version of the XUV500. A set of spy images from last week had indicated that the vehicle could get new design alloy wheels. Now a test mule of the XUV500 facelift has been spotted sporting a revised front grille.

The new grille has a Mahindra logo at the top. It gets six pairs of vertical slats and four horizontal between the borders. According to a media report, the front and rear bumpers of the car have been reworked as well.

The interior of the XUV500 facelift appears similar to the current model. However, the vehicle might get an updated touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

According to previous media reports, the 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine in the XUV500 facelift is expected to be re-tuned to produce more power. Rumours suggest that it will develop 168 BHP and more than 350 Nm of torque.

Mahindra hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the XUV500 facelift.
