Mahindra XUV700 scores 5 stars in Global NCAP crash test

The XUV700 was launched on September 30, 2021. The SUV is available in two trim levels - MX Series and AX Series.

The Mahindra XUV700 has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP. The SUV scored 16.03 points for adult occupant protection and 41.66 points for child safety.

As per the test report, the car offered good protection to the driver and passenger's head, neck and chest. Driver and passenger’s knees showed good protection. Driver tibias showed adequate protection and passenger tibias showed adequate and good protection. The bodyshell and footwell area was rated as stable.

The child seats for 3-year-old and 1.5-year-old were able to prevent head exposure during the impact.

The test car was equipped with front seat belt pretensioners, dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, ABS and ISOFIX.

The XUV700 was launched on September 30, 2021. The SUV is available in two trim levels - MX Series and AX Series. It is offered with two engine options - 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol producing 197 BHP and 380 Nm and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that makes 182 BHP and 420 Nm (MT) / 450 Nm (AT). Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive will also be available as an option.
