Formula 4 racer Manisha Kelkar will be representing India at the inaugural Formula Woman Nations Cup.
FW Nations Cup aims to empower women drivers from all over the world to pursue their dreams of competing on the world stage. The qualifiers for the final were held at the Dubai Autodrome on December 12, 2024, with the finals scheduled for May 1-4, 2025.
50 drivers from 26 nations competed for a spot on the FW Nations Cup grid. Jorden Dolischka from Austria dominated the event, while Steph Sore and Kristy Mansell secured the podium places. Kelkar is one of 38 women who have qualified for the finals.
The 38 finalists of the FW Nations Cup are currently undergoing intense training in the UK and Sweden ahead of the final event in May.
Kelkar started training in the FIA Formula 4 racing series at a young age. She was one of 6 women selected from 900 across India for national-level championship training. She was bedridden for months after suffering serious injuries in a road accident in 2018.
