Maruti Baleno exported to US, Australia, New Zealand

After exporting the Baleno to Japan and Europe, Maruti Suzuki has started exporting the car to the United States of America, Australia and New Zealand. For these markets, the company has opted to use its 1,373cc, 4-cylinder (K14B) petrol engine with manual and automatic transmissions.

In India, the K14B engine is used in the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Ertiga. It produces 91 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. Both cars are available with an option of a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The Baleno is expected to be launched in Australia in the third quarter of 2016, while in New Zealand, the car is scheduled to be introduced in the second half of the year. Suzuki had pulled out of the US market in 2012.

India was the first country where the Baleno was launched. Maruti had announced that the car would be manufactured in India and exported to more than 100 countries around the world.
