Maruti Baleno facelift bookings open

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the upcoming Baleno facelift. Customers can place their orders by paying an amount of Rs. 11,000 at any NEXA dealership.

The updated Baleno is expected to feature minor exterior tweaks and interior updates. Spy images suggest that it gets a new grille with chrome trim and a revised front bumper. It retains the sweptback headlamp clusters with integrated LED DRLs. Maruti has revealed that the Baleno will get additional safety features such as speed alert system, co-driver seat belt reminder and rear parking sensors. The car also gets ABS with EBD, dual airbags and ISOFIX child safety seat anchors.

The refreshed Baleno is expected to be offered the same petrol and diesel engine options as the outgoing model. The car's 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit puts out 83 BHP and 115 Nm of torque, while the 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine makes 74 BHP and 190 Nm of peak torque. Like the outgoing car, transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and CVT.

The launch of the Maruti Baleno facelift is rumoured be scheduled for January 29, 2019.
